Aquaponics integrates aquaculture (growing fish) with hydroponics (growing plants in water).  The fish waste are converted by the system microbiology into nutrients for the plants. This process in turn purifies the water for the fish. Only a few minutes a day are required to feed the fish, check the system, and harvest your crops.
